Jupiter is home to the spring training facilities of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals about 33 miles from Port St. Lucie, as well as one of its respective Low-A Minor League Baseball clubs, the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals. They share access to the Roger Dean Stadium complex in the Abacoa community. Jupiter is located in Palm Beach County and is considered to be one of the nicest locations to live in Florida.

Jupiter’s coastline features around 3.4 miles of gorgeous beaches. The beaches of Jupiter are recognized for their warm, clear seas and shoreline that are surrounded by the area’s natural characteristics, such as dunes, mangroves, and sea grape trees. Jupiter is another excellent boating location in Florida, with gin-clear water. Jupiter has extraordinarily clean water at incoming tides because to its near to the Gulf Stream.
The town was named after the Hobe Indian tribe, who dwelt at the mouth of the Loxahatchee River and whose name is also perpetuated in the name of neighboring Hobe Sound. A mapmaker mistook the Spanish spelling Jobe of the local people’s name Hobe for Jove.
Subsequent mapmakers mistook this for the name of the Roman god Jupiter, and so adopted the more popular name of Jupiter. Jupiter (or Zeus in Greek mythology) is the Roman god of light, the sky, and weather, as well as the state and its welfare and laws. Juno, Jupiter’s consort, inspired the name of a nearby town.
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, constructed in 1860, is the most noteworthy landmark. It was built of brick and painted red in 1910 to cover up discoloration caused by dampness. After Hurricane Jeanne sandblasted the paint off the upper half of the tower in 2004, it was repainted with a potassium silicate mineral coating. Jupiter is frequently represented as a lighthouse. Beautiful scenery and beach life. There are several Jupiter beach access choices for dog owners, beach volleyball players, and bookworms who want to feel as though they have the entire beach to themselves.
